Choosing a boarding facility

Pets, like people, have personalities all their own. When looking for a boarding facility, keep your pet’s needs and personality in mind. Is the place you’re considering a good match?

Here are some questions that may help you decide what’s best for your pet while you’re away.

Do I need to make an appointment to take a tour?

No appointment necessary! We value transparency and want you to feel comfortable with the staff and facility you trust with your pet. Now Boarding is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You’re welcome to take a tour anytime between 6am - 9:30pm.

May I bring in toys, blankets, and bedding for his stay?

Yes! Blankets and beds are comforting to your pet as they smell like home and, best of all, you.

We allow up to two toys for dogs. Hide chews and rope products aren’t allowed as they can be a choking hazard.

Cats are allowed to bring their favorite toys, too. Catnip toys will stay in their condo because some cats react badly to it.

Can I bring my own pet's food?

Absolutely — in fact, we recommend it! Your pet will have a better experience with us if they’re eating the food they’re used to. We do have a high-quality house brand available for a small fee should you need or prefer it.

How often will my cat’s litter box be cleaned?

Litter boxes are cleaned two times a day (or more if needed). Check out more details about our Cat Boarding services.

How often will my dog be let out for potty breaks?

Dogs go out three times a day into a private outdoor run. They’re also provided a complimentary daily exercise in our play yards. We spread these breaks throughout the day so your dog isn't in their suite for more than a few hours without one.

Our a la carte services also help you customize your dog’s stay. Get more details about our Dog Boarding services.

Are feeding schedules flexible?

Yes. We provide meals up to three times a day.

Breakfast: 6-9 a.m.
Lunch (if requested): 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Dinner: 5-7 p.m.

Will the staff be able to give my pet their medication?

We provide all medications except injections. We don't charge for this service unless significant effort needs to be taken to provide your pet its medication — for example, we won’t force medication on a fractious/aggressive pet.

Will my pet receive what I think is a healthy balance of rest and play?

Our a la carte services mean you can design your pet’s stay to be as close to their home routine as possible.

When your dog boards with us, we don't put them in an all-day play. Boarding can be somewhat stressful and playing all day — something your dog doesn't normally do at home — can add to that stress. Plus, not all dogs like to play with other dogs or are too old to play all day. We provide services to fit your dog’s needs and preferences. For more information, see our Dog Boarding page.

What services or features make the facility unique?

Not only is our building state-of-the-art, but we pride ourselves on our air. What you smell is what you get — we don't cover up odors with scented sprays. Our air is exchanged from the outside multiple times an hour and we are attentive cleaners.

We also designed 90% of our facility from the ground up. We brought in design features with the animals’ needs in mind, rather than retrofitting a space. There’s lots of natural light and our flexible services help your pet feel as close to home as possible.

Plus, we’re open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You can drop off and pick up your pet when it works best for you.

What happens in the event my pet has a health crisis?

We will notify you immediately if your pet has a medical emergency. If you cannot be reached, we’ll contact your emergency contact. We will also act in the best interest of your pet. We use Southview Animal Hospital for our emergency care — they’re 15 minutes away and open 24 hours in case of emergency.

Are there any hidden costs/fees associated with boarding?

Our a la carte services allow you to pick and choose which services you want for your pet. That way you know what you're paying for and there aren’t hidden charges.

Dog boarding includes three breaks in a private outdoor run and a daily complimentary exercise in our play yards. Check out our other services on our Dog Boarding page.

Cat boarding includes a 30-minute cuddle time. Check out our other services on our Cat Boarding page.

Are you a critter parent? We’ve got options for you too! Check out our services on our Critter Boarding page.

Will I receive a written record of my pet’s activities/behavior?

We know how much you miss your pet while you're away. The guilt is a real thing! We provide a report card detailing your pet's stay.

You’re also welcome to call or email us to check on your pet — we totally get it.
