Now Boarding Pets

Services FAQ

Will you administer medications to my pet?

We will gladly administer non-injectable medications and supplements to your pet that do not require use of an inhaler. Please list the name of medications or supplements (i.e., vitamins, fish oil, etc.) that your pet is taking, the amount, and when meds should be administered. Example: Rimadyl, 1 pill, with morning meal. If your pet is not taking medications, please enter "No medications." Please note that your pet must be accepting of medication orally or with food. We won't use force or restraint to administer your pet's medication.

Are there vaccination requirements for daycare and boarding?

For puppies and dogs: Rabies, distemper, parvovirus and bordetella (either intranasal or injectable). All vaccines must be up to date at the time of check-in. While we do not require a waiting period from when latest vaccine was given, we recommend that the client confer with their veterinarian as to whether they recommend a waiting period following vaccination.

Cats and ferrets must be vaccinated against rabies and distemper.

If I don’t leave my car with you, can I still take the shuttle to the airport?

If you are boarding your pet here, you are free to use our shuttle service.

Will the shuttle pick me up from the airport, too?

Yes, we offer transportation both to and from either terminal. You’ll be given a phone number to call for transport details (when and where to meet the shuttle).

How much time should I allow to get from Now Boarding Pets to the airport via shuttle?

Although it often happens more quickly, plan on 15-20 minutes to get from our facility to the airport.

How much does it cost to take the Now Boarding shuttle to the airport?

Shuttle service is free; parking is $12 per day. See here for more details.

Do you board or offer daycare for diabetic dogs?

Yes, if your dog’s diabetes is well-managed with food and digestible medication. However, we cannot give injections.

What happens if my dog has a medical emergency while at Now Boarding?

We will notify you immediately if your pet has a medical emergency. You will decide the course of action, but if you cannot be reached, Now Boarding will act in the best interest of your pet. We use Southview Animal Hospital for our emergency care.

How much time do boarded dogs and cats spend in their suites?

We offer a standard boarding service with a la carte options, which means you can customize your pet’s stay with play time, grooming, and more. As part of our standard service, complimentary exercise is provided for all dogs with either a 15-minute one-on-one session with a staff person, or a 40-minute group play session with other dogs (an approved behavior assessment is required for the group play option).  All boarded dogs are let out into their individual outdoor run 3 times per day, and cats enjoy a 30-minute complimentary cuddle daily. Check out rates & packages for a complete list of a la carte options.

At some boarding places, my dog will play all day. Do you do that here?

We believe that if a dog isn’t used to hours and hours of vigorous play as part of his daily routine, it isn’t optimal for him while boarding. At Now Boarding, your dog has ample opportunity to play with other dogs or run after a ball with a staff member.  Playtime is balanced with downtime, just like when your pooch is at home.

Do you have any late pick-up options for daycare?

Yes! Please check out our Late Departure package.

What if I am running late to pick up my daycare dog?

It happens to the best of us. That’s why we have a 15-minute grace period before late charges begin. Starting at 6:30 p.m., we charge $5.00 for every 30 minutes your pet is with us. After 2-1/2 hours, your pet will be boarded at our normal daily rate with "daycare with boarding" charges added for the day spent in daycare.

Are reservations required for daycare?

We require reservations for all of our services: daycare, cat boarding, dog boardinggrooming and airport shuttle. This way, we can ensure a first-class experience for both people and pets!

Can I receive a written report at the end of my dog or cat’s boarding stay?

Our pet parents greatly appreciate our “report cards,” which detail daily activities, friends your dog or kitty made, your pet’s appetite and other specifics.

How long does it take to check in my pet for boarding?

Please allow 10-15 minutes for boarding check-in. It typically goes faster, but we allot the time to discuss your pet’s needs.

Do you have Sunday daycare?

We have a small dog daycare play group on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
